The result of Accenture's Information Managers Survey has been known for nearly 2 years:

–Managers spend up to 2 hours a day searching for information, and more than 50% of the information they obtain has no value to them

–57% of respondents said that having to go to numerous sources to compile information is a difficult aspect of managing information for their jobs

–59% said that as a consequence of poor information distribution, they miss information that might be valuable to their jobs almost everyday

It is thus surprising and sad that many companies have not yet introduced unified ways for employees to move from a dependence on email and widely distributed sources towards an aggregated view of all the information that matters to them.
